Philip has been in the games industry since 1992 and has held a variety of design and management roles. Prior to founding Row Sham Bow, Philip was General Manager of EA Tiburon, where he oversaw all aspects of production and development of Madden, NCAA Football, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, EA SPORTS MMA, NASCAR, NFL Head Coach, and other titles. Philip joined EA Tiburon as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining EA, Philip was Senior Vice President of Product Development at THQ, where he was responsible for the company’s externally developed products, including WWE Smackdown Vs Raw, Full Spectrum Warrior, Company of Heroes, Titan Quest, and other titles. Prior to joining THQ, Philip was Vice President of Product Development and Operations at Volition, where he oversaw development of FreeSpace 2, Red Faction 1 & 2, and Summoner 1 & 2. Before joining Volition, Philip was Development Director at EA Seattle where he managed several FIFA and Triple Play products. Philip began his career at Manley & Associates as Project Manager and Designer. Philip received a BA from The Evergreen State College. Philip serves on the boards of Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center, University of Central Florida’s College of Engineering and Computer Science, Florida High Tech Corridor Council, and The PRISM Project.
Richard has been programming and leading technology development in the games industry since 1995. Prior to Row Sham Bow, Richard was Chief Technology Officer for EA SPORTS where he oversaw technology vision and strategy across a wide variety of platforms and franchises. He was previously Chief Technology Officer for EA Tiburon where he led technology strategy and development for Madden, NCAA Football, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, EA SPORTS MMA, NASCAR, Superman Returns, NFL Head Coach, and NFL Street as well as central technology and test engineering departments. Richard began his career at Tiburon during the first year of the studio’s life and has held a variety of engineering and technical direction roles across countless titles as he helped the start up studio become one of the most successful video game studios in the industry. Richard holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University.
Jeremy began his career in 1996. Jeremy was recently Technical Director and Game Client Lead at EA Tiburon on EA SPORTS Golf Challenge for Facebook and Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online, a destination website game. Jeremy began his career at Tiburon as a start up employee and helped the studio grow into a world class development studio. During his tenure, he held a variety of engineering and technical direction roles across NCAA Football, Madden, Soviet Strike, and Nuclear Strike. Jeremy also spent a few years as Program Manager inside EA University, an in-house training program that identifies training needs, develops curricula and training materials, and delivers exercise-based training to software engineers of all levels. Jeremy holds dual BS degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Florida State University.
Chris has been programming professionally since 2003. Before Row Sham Bow, Chris was the Software Architect in EA Tiburon’s Central Football group, where he was working to help teams be more collaborative and efficient. Chris began his career at EA Tiburon and held a variety of leadership positions at the studio, including architecting the SuperSim Engine and serving as the lead engineer for Madden NFL Arcade, Madden Wii, and NFL Head Coach. Chris holds BS in Computer Information Science & Engineering from the University of Florida and is constantly learning new ways to make computers do what he wants.
VJ has been working as a software engineer since 2004. Recently, VJ was Technical Director in EA Tiburon’s Central Football group, where he led development of gameplay, animation, and artificial intelligence for the football gameplay engine shared by Madden NFL and NCAA Football and related products. VJ provided technical design and architectural oversight on a multi-year project to consolidate EA’s football gameplay code into a easily sharable and distributable package in addition to his role as a principal engineer behind many gameplay features. VJ holds a BS in Computer Science from McGill University.
Soledad Hasan, Office Manager
Soledad has 18 years professional experience in finance, human resources, and management positions. Prior to joining Row Sham Bow, Soledad was Operations Manager for Battaglia Group Management, a commercial real estate developer. Previously, Soledad was Law Firm Administrator for Latham, Shuker, Eden & Beaudine and Accounting Supervisor for Foley & Lardner. Soledad holds a BS in Business Administration from Regis University.
Todd has held leadership and sales management positions at mobile data solutions companies since 2000. He has designed, launched and managed analytics-driven white-label mobile data solutions for some of the top US mobile operators. His solution designs include a wide array of mobile-centric technologies including analytics, mobile web, rich client, data synchronization, messaging, and voice recognition. Tens of millions of mobile phone users actively use Todd’s solutions on a monthly basis. In addition to his work with in the mobile sector, Todd has created analytics-driven RFID solutions have been widely recognized in the technology sector and reported by Forbes, InfoWorld and the Wall Street Journal.
Brian has been working on user experience in games for the last 8 years. Prior to joining Row Sham Bow, Brian held a variety of roles at EA from Producer, Designer, Lead Artist, Lead UI Artist, and UI Scriptor. Brian has held key roles on a variety of platforms including Mobile, Facebook, destination web sites, consoles, and PC for the Tiger Woods PGA Tour, Madden, and NFL Head Coach franchises. Before joining EA, Brian was an instructor of Interactive Media Design at Full Sail University. And in a past life, Brian was a 3rd grade elementary school teacher. Brian has a BA in Education from Columbia College and an Associate’s degree in Digital Media from Full Sail University.
John has been working professionally for 13 years. Prior to joining Row Sham Bow, John held a variety of roles at EA Tiburon from Game Designer to Technical Artist to Interface Designer where he primarily worked on the Madden franchise. Prior to working at EA, John taught Advanced Web Design at Full Sail University where he developed and implemented Flash curriculum. Before teaching, John was a freelance Flash and Web Developer and worked with a variety of clients including NOFX, No Use For A Name, and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. John holds an AS in Digital Media from Full Sail University.
Paul has over 11 years of experience writing client and server applications in the video games and defense industries. Prior to joining Row Sham Bow, Paul was Senior Software Engineer at EA Tiburon where he worked on a variety of games, including EA SPORTS PGA TOUR Golf Challenge for Facebook, Tiger Woods Online, Tiger Woods 12, and several versions of NASCAR. Paul previously worked for Northrop Grumman where he led the development of core communications suite for military command and control systems as well as a variety of other simulation and training systems. Paul earned his B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Central Florida.
Pat has been working in corporate finance longer than Li has been alive. For the last several years, Pat has been consulting with seed stage and emerging technology companies in Central Florida. Pat has broad experience working in venture backed technology companies having previously served as CFO for Pentaho Corporation, a business intelligence company, CFO for Spectrum Bridge, Inc, a wireless start-up, and CFO for Mesh Networks, Inc., a wireless mesh network that was acquired by Motorola in 2004. Prior to his tenure in venture backed companies, Pat worked in more traditional businesses including Recreation USA, CNL Fund Advisors, and Sawtek, Inc. Pat began his career at Arthur Anderson. Pat earned his Bachelors and Masters in Accounting from the University of Georgia during the Reagan Administration.
Justin began his career in 1997 after completing his Masters in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech. After college, Justin was hired at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics group before he realized he was destined for the game industry. In 2000, Justin took a job with EA Tiburon as a Technical Director, where he remained until 2007. In January 2008, Justin transferred to EA Montreal to discover what winters are all about and to chase a woman (whom he married!). Justin returned to EA Tiburon in 2010 as Group Technical Director before leaving to join Row Sham Bow in the Summer of 2012.
Li joins us after finishing an internship at Zynga as a 3D Environment Modeler where he worked on Forestville and Cityville Hometown. Li earned his M.S. in Interactive Entertainment at the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy (FIEA), at the University of Central Florida. Li worked on several student games at FIEA as an Artist/Designer, including Nexus and Erado. Li earned his B.F.A. in Painting at the University of Florida.
Marshall is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Central Florida and is working with us on a part time basis. Marshall holds numerous degrees including PhD and S.M. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Computer Science from Brigham Young University. While Marshall completed his PhD, he was a Research Assistant at the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. Marshall’s area of research is focused on artificial intelligence and machine learning as it applies to computer vision.
